The Eckart Helical Spline Rotary Actuators features high torque from a compact configuration, constant torque through full angle of rotation, no internal leakage, and it holds torque approximately two times the forward driving torque.  Also, the effective hydraulic area is equal on both sides of the piston; torque is produced equally in both directions.  The gearing, moving parts, and bearings of the actuators are constantly submerged in hydraulic oil, making them virtually maintenance-free.
