Jahns took over manufacturing, sales and service of the vane motors branch from ATE (Alfred Teves) in 1992.

The sealing principle of vane motors are radial arranged guidance rails were the vanes have to separate the individual pressure fields. The displacement is defined by the pocket depth of the stroke ring and the width of the rotary piston.

The MD4 motor is produced in 4 sizes and the MDS2 is produced in 3 sizes with a displacement volume between 3 in3/ rev. to 150 in3/ rev. The key advantages of these motors lie in their compact design (small outer diameter) and the continuous hollow shaft on the main drive side which offers multiple different application possibilities.
