Bernd "Ben" Hunger is President of IC-Fluid Power, a hydraulic importing and distribution company serving North American customers across industrial, mobile, marine, agricultural, construction, test & simulation, press, military, oilfield, mining, and utility applications. Ben grew up around fluid power, with familial roots at Douce Hydro in France and Hunger Hydraulik in Germany. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Toledo and began his career as a quality engineer in the glass industry before moving into hydraulics in 2008. He joined IC-Fluid Power shortly after, served as Vice President for 13 years, and became President in 2023. Ben leads IC-Fluid Power with a focus on engineered solutions for demanding applications helping customers improve uptime, efficiency, and long-term equipment performance rather than chasing transactional sales. He stays active in the industry as a committee member on the Education Workforce board of the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) and as Chair of the NFPA Leadership Network, and he regularly attends leadership programs and annual conferences. Locally, Ben is an active member of the Toledo Rotary Club. He is fluent in English and German, holds a private pilot certificate, and enjoys traveling internationally.
