IC-Fluid Power offers a wide range of press products, from safety products that protect your press, products, and people safe during operation to die splitter devices. The most common press products that we see are the Hylatechnik Shock Dampers (or impact dampers), the Hänchen Rod-Locking Cylinder, and the Hänchen Safety Catcher.
Shock Dampers
The shock damper (or impact damper) is a safety device that protects your press from reverse tonnage , also known as reverse load or snap-through. The Hylatechnik dampers reduce or eliminate reverse loads, floor vibration, noise, and will increase tool life as well as forward tonnage in many applications, including hydraulic presses, mechanical presses, and press breaks. Shock dampers are not limited to the press size and can be used on the largest of machines.
Additional benefits of using hydraulic shock dampers in your machine include increased press speed, usage of the full press capacity, reduction in foundation vibration, and a reduction in noise levels.
Safety Catcher
The Hänchen Safety Catcher is used for clamping round rods in vertical, gravity-loaded axles. It is used as a reliable safety mechanism for stepless securing of loads at a standstill, as a safety component in case of emergency, or for effective fall protection. Through a self-energizing principle, the safety catcher mechanically locks and is unlocked via hydraulic or pneumatic pressure. This device can be used in both compressive and tensile loads.
Rod-Locking Cylinder
The Hänchen Ratio-Clamp® holds the position of a rod in the event of a power loss or system failure. It is then unlocked by hydraulic pressure. This device is used as a safety device, as it works without power or a pre-determined clamping position.
t is also used to accurately hold the cylinder rod in an exact position without the need to keep hydraulic pressure on the cylinder, thereby saving energy while maintaining accuracy. It clamps down and fixes the piston rod right where it is with no additional power needed.
