Hydraulic Pressure Intensifiers – MP-T Series

The MP-T Series is an in-line pressure intensifier designed to be positioned in a low-pressure hydraulic system and will provide higher pressure exactly where needed (max. 11,600 psi / 800 bar). Having all the required high-pressure valves incorporated, the need for additional high-pressure components is minimized ensuring a cost-effective system. Control of the high-pressure side is achieved by valves on the low-pressure side through the intensifier which adds to safety. The intensifiers are offered with 7 different intensification ratios as standard with additional ratios on request to meet most intensification requirements. The compact design ensures easy installation in new as well as existing hydraulic circuits.

MP-T Configurations:

  • Rotating Applications (MP-T-R): The MP-T series of hydraulic pressure intensifiers is ideal for making specials, to meet the market demands. The MP-T-R pressure intensifier is based on the MP-T series, but modified to be inserted in a rotating application, where it rotates at 1,500 rpm, while intensifying a supplied pressure of 435 – 3,000 psi (30 – 210 bar).
  • Small Power Pack Applications (MP-T-XP): The MP-T-XP Series hydraulic pressure intensifier is based on the MP-T and is identical to it, except that the MP-T-XP adds a dedicated radial G1/4” port for returning the flow from the high-pressure side to tank. This ensures the oil from the high-pressure side is returned for filtering and cooled before entering the intensifier circuit again. This is used frequently in small power packs and provides for more clean and cool oil flow through the intensifier and the connected tools by allowing the oil to circulate through the tank.

  • Supply pressure: up to 2,900 psi (200 bar)
  • End pressure rating: 290 – 11,600 psi (20 – 800 bar). The end pressure is dependent on the ratio and is always proportional with the supplied pressure.

Ordering Code Example:

First decide whether the pilot operated check valve, POV, is required, then decide the intensification ratio (i), and finally decide the connections (BSPP or UNF).
